A 28-year-old Mohammad Khammim Setiawan from the Central Java Province in Indonesia who has basically walked through four Southeast Asian countries and now in the UAE to reach Makkah in Saudi Arabia also on foot, within the next week or two.
His mission was to fulfill what he has learnt from the Holy Book of Quran that the best way to perform Hajj is to hike to the Holy City. Throughout his journey which began on Aug. 28, 2016 from his home city of Pekalongan, he has seen right before his eyes and personally experienced that despite different languages, cultures and faiths, people can co-exist harmoniously and peacefully.
