Dubai police and a Singapore based company OTSAW Digital signed an MoU to develop self-driving police vehicles to be deployed on Dubai streets. This is being done as a part of Smart Dubai Initiative. First Lieutenant Salim Al Marri, a police official at the smart services said that vehicles would be equipped with cameras connected to Dubai Police Head Quarters to show live feed of the city streets. The patrols also will have sensors to identify suspects, places or damaged vehicles. Also, the car comes with a drone and fingerprint scanners to prepare police for all eventualities. A prototype of this car will be displayed at next gitex.
