A major fire broke out in a Sharjah industrial site on Wednesday. Colonel Sami Khamis Al Naqbi, director general of Sharjah Civil Defence said teams surrounded it from all sides to prevent it from spreading. Firefighters battled the flames for close to 5 hours beforebringing it under control at 7:04pm. No casualties were reported. The cooling operations have started.
This fire in the industrial area 10 is close to the site of blaze on Monday that destroyed a dozen warehouses. The thick black plumes of smoke rising into the sky was even visible to the motorists heading towards Sharjah and Ajman.
