A maid has been cleared of sexually abusing the two-year-old son of her sponsor.
The two-year-old Emirati boy’s mother had alleged that she discovered the 32-year-old Ethiopian maid molesting her son when she once entered her room and saw them both undressed in bed in October 2013.When she appeared before the Dubai Court of First Instance, the maid strongly rejected the mother’s claims and denied molesting or abusing the child.
The mother alleged to have seen for the first time her son undressed and sitting on the lap of the maid, who had allowed him to touch her uncovered top. “I scolded her and asked her why had she permitted my boy to touch her top … but she denied,” she testified.
Sunday’s ruling remains subject to appeal within 15 days.
