A 39-year-old Omani man stood trial in the Court of First Instance, accused of assaulting and resisting two on-duty police officers.
The case dates back to February 7 in Al Qusais when the unemployed man allegedly resisted the two police officers while they were executing an arrest order against him.
“We went to his place in Oud Al Muteena and we spotted him parking outside a nearby shop. We showed him our cards and told him we were assigned to take him into custody. He stepped out of his car but did not want to come with us,” a police corporal said.
