A man who beat up his wife after he found their child sleeping in their bed has been sentenced to three months in jail. The Abu Dhabi Cassation Court on Thursday upheld the ruling by lower courts after the Egyptian man was found guilty of assaulting his wife.
Official court documents stated that the Egyptian woman had complained to authorities after her husband attacked her at their home in Abu Dhabi last year.
The couple allegedly had some misunderstandings which resulted from the man “not taking care of the woman’s financial needs”.
