A council was formed to work on a “soft power strategy” for the UAE in science, culture, technology, the economy and humanitarian work.
The UAE Soft Power Council was launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, on Saturday. It will report directly to the Cabinet.
The council will introduce a strategy for the Government and companies to convey the nation’s history “in a new way”, reported Wam, the state news agency. It will also review legislation and policies affecting the country’s status and reputation.
Mohammed Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future, will be chairman of the council.
