Ras Al Khaimah Police have rescued an Emirati family of six, who suffered a severe sun stroke, from one of the emirate’s highest mountains.

The central operations room of RAK Police was alerted about the Emirati family stuck at the peak of Jebel Mutrah which is at the height of 4,000 feet above the sea level, to the east of RAK city after which the search and rescue team of the Air Wing section was immediately dispatched to the site, according to Wing Commander Saeed Rashid Al Yamahi, Head of the Air Wing Section.

The rescue operation took four hours after which the family was shifted to Saqr Hospital where they were given first aid and thorough scans were done before they were discharged.

As per official sources, the family was on a mountain trip.
