Dubai Police foiled an international gang’s attempt to promote drugs worth tens of millions in the emirate, said officials. The Dubai Police seized 29kg of crystal meth from the Asian gang following a tip-off received by the general department of anti-narcotics last month.
The police arrested 3 suspects in connection with this case out of which one was on visitors visa. The first suspect was charged with the possession of psychotropic substances with the intention of promoting, the second the possession of psychotropic substances for the purpose of promotion and abuse, and the third with the promotion of psychotropic substances.
The special anti-drug operation managed the dismantling of the Asian gang in record time, preventing them from escaping outside the country.
