Two countrymen who stabbed a tailor with scissors and decamped with Dhs563,000 were on Monday sentenced to three years behind bars to be followed by deportation.
The jobless African, 31, and his compatriot peer, 28, operating on directives of a fugitive Asian man, attacked the Bangladeshi tailor inside his shop in Eyal Nasser around 4.25pm on Nov.24, 2016.
Two of the tailor’s workers and a friend rushed to wrestle down and disarm the jobless man. His fugitive African cohorts gathered in a bid to free him but then dispersed upon hearing police sirens.
One of the workers explained how they overpowered the jobless man.
