Cancer patients in UAE can now find a little ease as a hospital in Abu Dhabi announces free blood test, transportation, and creation of a social media platform to share their stories.
Under the initiative of the Cancer Patient Care Society, in association with NMC Healthcare, patients need not come to the hospital to take a blood test. Instead, the hospital will send its medical team to their homes or workplaces.
Aside from blood testing, the hospital will also provide a free car service to pick up patients from any point in UAE.
Around 4,500 new cases of cancer in the UAE are recorded every year. This means 12 new cases per day, according to Abu Dhabi Health Services Company.
