Swimmers can now enjoy the experience during the night with the installation of ‘smart power poles.’ The towers are completely powered by wind and solar energy emitting lights to illuminate the sea.
Taking an after-dark dip in the sea is currently a big no no in dubai for safety reasons, but that could soon change, thanks to one UAE company’s clever invention.
Two “Smart Power Poles” have been installed on Umm Suqeim 1 Beach, each one producing a light strong enough to illuminate the sea.
In case of success of the power poles, night swimming could soon be a reality on Dubai beaches.
