In a humanitarian approach, the Sharjah Misdemeanor Court has decided not to punish a student, who attacked his classmate with a stone and fractured the latter’s skull. Instead, the court gave the student a warning after taking into consideration that he was final year student. The court has also made him promise that he would not repeat such offences in future.
Meanwhile, the school formed a committee to look into the incident, after which the student was put into disciplinary action. The school decided to take a decision in accordance with the Code of Behavioural Discipline approved by the Ministry of Education and in accordance with the laws.
