The Dubai Police have successfully managed to reduce theft of car number plates in Muraqqabat area by arresting multiple gangs involved in the crime.
Six cases had been registered in 2016 compared to 24 theft cases in the same period during 2015. Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, assistant commander-in-chief of the Dubai Police, said that they had cooperated with the criminal investigation department to set traps to arrest the criminals involved in the theft of car number plates.
Brigadier Ali Ahmed Ghanim urged car drivers to be careful and inform the police of any missing number plates.
