The Dubai Municipality has issued a warning against using 15 slimming medicines which have been confiscated from the market for containing harmful ingredients.
The municipality has urged the public not to rely upon unapproved products and not to lend ears to false and exaggerated promises like ‘100% herbal’ and ‘quick weight loss’.
The department has also warned the public not to fall prey to online cheats and tele-marketing gimmicks.
The UAE health authorities follow the warning updates issued by the world health agencies such as the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European Medicines Agency.
